Tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. 2. 27. 1932-3.23.2011 Joyful226

Elizabeth Taylor one of Hollywood's greats died on March 23, 2011 at age 79. She was not 79 even a month, as her birthday is Feb. 27. The above Blingee is a tribute to this amazing women. She was married numerous times, she loved jewelry and fragrances. She designed and sold her jewelry and created several different fragrances the best know is White Diamonds,she did this besides her acting career and charity work. I always had a fondness for Elizabeth I am not sure why maybe it is because my mother told me had I waited two hours longer I would have been born on her birthday. I always had a compassionate spot in my heart for her and would say a prayer for her. Maybe because we were both born with scoliosis and have back trouble although neither one of us look like it. I honestly don't know why but I do. Although I didn't admire some of her actions there is a lot about her I did admire. She was a fighter when most would have given up. She knew heartache and pain both emotional and physical,yet through it all she kept her sense of humor and compassion for others. In an interview I heard once, she said.. "You know you are not going to believe this but I honestly don't believe in divorce." She laughed nervously and said "but it is true." Later she was asked if she had remained a Jew after she divorced Eddie Fisher and was no longer married to Richard Burton she answered "Well now we all know there is a Jesus Christ don't we." I had a school mate that worked in Hollywood as a set designer and said "Most are ok but some go around thinking they are far better than anyone else. But the two nicest ones are so kind they are Patty Duke and Elizabeth Taylor. The two that could be all greater than thou are anything but. And of Elizabeth Taylor she said, she was kind, compassionate appreciative and had a great sense of Humor." Elizabeth's mother had also been an actress until she married in 1926 and gave it up to raise a family. Her parents started out living in Arkansas City, Kansas near Witchia. Then the father's business took the family to England where Elizabeth was born in 1932. She never used any name but the one her parents gave her. Then sometime during WWII they returned to the United States and the rest they say is history. Elizabeth had her first good role in Lassie Come Home when she was 9 years old. But of course the one that made her a star was when she was 12 in 1944 in National Velvet. Good bye Elizabeth. Rest in Peace.
