1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18 "For in a twinkling of an eye the Lord himself will come down from Heaven with a loud shout from the archangel and with the trumpet blast of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." When I was a little girl of 12 years old my Grandpa Hull took me aside one day and repeated this word for word without his Bible and said to me "Honey do you want to be with me when I meet Jesus." I was thrilled and at the same so amazed! Grandpa had repeated that verse with no Bible and so much love and joy and awe shown through him it was almost like he was glowing. I said as an amazed child of 12, "You mean we could be doing anything like I could be jumping a rope in mid air and never come down." He smiled with a huge grin and said "Just like that." I said "Oh Yes Grandpa I want to be with you and Jesus!.." So we knelt down and prayed then and I asked Jesus into my heart, although I always thought he was there but now He truly was. I was so impressed and thrilled about this that I ask Grandpa to preach a sermon on it at Church for he was was a minister. He said he would.. So he did. He had missed a few Sundays because he was ill. That was the last sermon he ever preached. In this blingee.. I have a picture of my dear and wonderful Grandpa and next to him the little girl is me at age 2. Grandpa loved the Lord with all his heart soul and mind. Was the most gentle and caring person I ever have known. He died of a heart condition when I was 12 years old. I still miss him to this day. But have always been so thankful God blessed me with him to help show me the way to the Lord. He was my hero and best friend. A very short man of about 5'6" but a heart bigger than anyone I ever knew filled with love of man and love of the Lord.
