Durch grüne Kleidung, Perücken oder sonstige grüne Accessoires wird am 17. März die Verbundenheit mit Irland und St. Patrick gezeigt. In manchen Städten werden Flüsse und Bier mit Lebensmittelfarbe grün gefärbt.
