The second Sunday in Advent is Preparation Sunday or the Sunday of Peace. Also known as Stir up Sunday. Often this is the day that people "stir up" their fruit cakes, plum puddings or mince meat (to later make into pies) so they have time to cure before Christmas. It is also known as Preparation Sunday where not only are things being prepared in the kitchen for Christmas as in baked goods but Also Preparing our Hearts for the Coming of Christ also it is known as the Sunday of Peace.. That Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and we honor that.
